Star of ‘Dinner: Impossible’ fired for lying to Food Network's 67 viewers!

NEW YORK, NY - After rising to stardom preparing impossible meals for the more than 5-dozen fans of the Food Network series ‘Dinner: Impossible’, Robert Irvine must now prove that he once cooked for President's Hoover, Truman and Millard Fillmore as well as King Henry the VIII and Napoleon Bonaparte as stated on his resume, or face lose his job.

Hal Jaansing, Director of Human Resources for the Food Network admits, "I was not a good student of Social Studies. I recognized the names on Mr. Irvine's resume and was impressed, but failed to call for references. That's 'my bad', he added.

The discovery stemmed from an observation by a college intern doing routine file folder alphabetizing. Annie Collins read Mr. Irvine's resume and thought that some of the names sounded 'vaguely familiar'. She placed telephone calls and emails to Irvine's references, but to date has received only irate and sometimes obscene replies.

"Oh yeah, baby! I'm the President of Love", played one voice mail reply left by a "Millard Filmoranski" of Oshkosh, WI. 'Napoleon' emailed Miss Collins with this response, "I've got a Bone, now how 'bout showing me how you 'Part'.

The network announced it might not renew Irvine’s contract for a fourth year if they cannot verify all of his references. They are currently awaiting legitimate callbacks from all of the previously mentioned individuals as well as President's Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, Andrew Johnson and John Quincy Adams.

Irvine, who is from England, acknowledged he may have been recalling the names of Presidents from his citizenship studies rather than former employers.
